Meredith Willson, the unpretentious man honored by this bronze sculpture (above) adjacent to his boyhood home (below) in Mason City, Iowa, created The Music Man, a masterpiece of American art. Among many other achievements and contributions, he wrote the music for The Unsinkable Molly Brown and the seasonal standard It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.
