As unlikely as it might seem, the blogger built the wall in the center of the photo above at age 18 when he was a college freshman. F. W. Olin Science Building, Blackburn College, Carlinville, Illinois.

    That had to be kinda fun - did you find the campus greatly changed?

    Many new buildings dot the expanded campus, but it's still a very small school. The student body numbers about 600. Overall, the campus does not look prosperous.

    Knowing the current US president's background, the blogger initiated the following dialog when he and then-candidate Barack Obama met:

    Blogger: "Blackburn College, Carlinville, Illinois."

    Obama: "That's a good school!"
